The Secret Garden

The Secret Garden is a story of a little girl named Mary who moves to her Uncle Archibald’s estate. During her stay, she discovers a secret garden and meets her sickly cousin, Colin, for the first time. As Mary and Colin visit the garden, the magical space proves it has the power to heal the heart and allows Colin to walk again. To tell this story through my cover design, I focused on Colin and the emotional and physical growth that he encounters through the garden.

Cover Art Creation: I created this cover by carving my design into rubber linoleum and transferring it with ink onto mixed media paper. Then I scanned the print onto the computer and used Photoshop to arrange the foliage around the subject in the wheelchair.
